Welcome to Backward Compatible, the place where old videogames become new again. Join us as we playthrough a select older videogame in an episodic format and give our impressions as we go. For this installment we have chosen the First-Person shooter survival horror classic F.E.AR. Leading up to (and possibly through) Halloween we will playing through what many consider one of the seminal horror videogames of all time.

This time around we tackle both Interval 4 and 5 which takes us into the headquarters of the Armacham corporation. As we begin to dig deeper into the mystery surrounding Fettel and his army of replica soldiers, we to begin to unravel our feelings for the game as a whole. While Madcap continues to wax nostalgic I discover some unfortunate truths that seems to prohibit the way I would like to play it. However, we both still agree that the game continues to live up to all the hype despite how many times I die...and die...and die...and die...
