Tractor Tire Award of the Week - A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas

Have you ever watched a trailer and had that one scene, that one shot that made you go "Wow, that was cool!"? Or maybe there was something you saw that stuck with you, something that for some reason was in the back of your head and despite how insignificant it was you were waiting for it to show up in the final cut of the film. But when you watched the movie that scene was nowhere to be found or has been altered in a significant way. Well, that is what the Tractor Tire Award of the Week is all about. We try to track down those scenes that didn't make it into the final version of the film and make sense of them. Where in the film was it supposed to be? Why might it have been cut? Why has it been changed? We may not always have the answers for you but at least you will have your piece of mind and know that you aren't crazy. So, this weeks award goes to A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas!

"Well...my dad actually owns the place..."

"Oh, you're one of those guys."

Not much needs to be said here. Probably one of the best lines used in the trailer, "Well, my dad actually owns the place", "Oh, you're one of those guys", has been cut from the final version of the film. That isn't the strange part though, the strange part is that it is THE ONLY thing cut out from the trailer. Usually comedies like this feature all sorts of alternate takes and deleted scenes in the trailer but by some sort of holiday miracle only this one scene was cut down. It doesn't take a genius to spot where this was in the movie but as to why it was cut out is a true mystery. It seems almost too insignificant to even care about let alone take the time to cut out of the film, especially considering how popular the line was in the trailer (every time it would elicit a good number of laughs from the audience). Oh well though, expect to see the return of the scene in the inevitable unrated cut when it hits home video in the near future.

I think that scene WAS in the movie. You must have been distracted by the topless angels

The scene was in the movie, just not that particular line of dialog. Just after he holds up the cross to prove he is Jesus it cuts to NPH heading over to the couch.
